We have a wide variety of breeds and ages of horses. All share similar characteristics; fat, happy and well-behaved.
Max aka Maxine (DOB 1992, Breed Arabian/QH, Sex unclear)
Max will not and does not ever get dirty. Every fiber of his being is dedicated to cleanliness. Mud is alien to his body. Max’s hobbies are sleeping and eating, and he has perfected both. Females easily bully him. Comfortable at first-level dressage, he is capable of more but finds it difficult to fit in between sleeping and eating.

Pumpkin (DOB 1999, Breed Hanoverian, Sex: Yes...and she had a baby)
Pumpkin is our newest addition. She’s Canadian, beautiful and knows it. Her movement is beautiful as she struts her stuff around the pasture. Intended to be Lorna's ultimate horse, she has ended up mowing the lawns instead due to the addition of a human foal into our midst. Highly talented but needing guidance to bring out her full potential as either a decent-level dressage horse or jumper.

Jimmer (DOB 1979, Breed Quarterhorse, Sex: attempts it all the time)
Our old boy is a bit of a charmer. He’ll try it on with any of the girls. He seems to suffer a bit from dementia, though, and doesn’t remember that 1) he was gelded a long time ago and 2) where he left his teeth. Jimmer has amazing bloodlines (he’s descended from the famed stallions Jimmers and Wimpy). He was a very capable boy in his day and took home the blue ribbons.

Star (aka "the prison guard") (DOB 1983, Breed Morgan/QH, Sex: boss mare)
It is easy to see who is in charge around here, learned from her many years as a staff member in the Texas penal system. The shortest, stoutest horse on the property, she nonetheless made it to the regional finals in dressage. Star wastes no time in using her hooves to bring everyone into order. Desperately in love with Max, but constantly rejected, she takes out her rage on everyone else. As they say, "Hell has no fury like a woman scorned."

Beauty (DOB 1980, Breed Appendix, Sex: mare)
Beauty came to us late in life and is our only pseudo-boarder. She has seen and done it all – a racehorse, rented out as a trail ride horse, a kid’s barrel horse and now a lawn ornament. She takes her responsibilities very seriously and eats as much as possible all day, every day. Beauty is very conscious of her figure and exercises daily by galloping flat out around the pasture. She kindly tolerates Jimmer’s amorous advances but does not see herself as his lifetime partner.
